I was so thrilled to get your magazine as a gift subscription. It was funny
– it came in the mail, as many things do, but caught my interest as I am a
"waterholic."
I just wanted to tell you — I LOVE THIS MAGAZINE!!! It's upbeat, informational,
and the articles are short and to the point. After working all day, then working
out or having some other evening meeting or chore to tend to, it was nice to
sit down with this magazine and be able to read it thoroughly. I now just want
to go to Belize after reading the Destination feature in your September/October
issue.
Remember to think of us "over 50" folks who exercise and "feel the burn
(pain)." I can't help it, I am an endorphin junkie – it's my drug of choice. Any
articles or wellness suggestions on this topic would be wonderful and I would
love to see something on natural hormone supplements. I like the recipes too
– more of those would be great.
Keep up the good work!

Thanks, Jan. Glad to hear you're enjoying your subscription. We also appreciate
your article suggestions about endorphins and natural hormone supplements, so
be on the lookout for something in our next issue. Like you, many of our other
readers say the food and recipe sections are their favorite, so we are working to
incorporate more of them throughout the magazine.

Fortunately, I was blessed with a good metabolism because I have never been overweight.
I knew I ate horribly, but I thought I was okay because I looked okay. Three years ago I
had a surgery done that changed my life. The doctor took me aside afterwards and told
me what a disaster my muscle tissue was in. He said I had the muscle tissue of a child
and I was 37 years old. It really scared me. I decided right then and there to get my life
back. I set out on a journey to start eating right and began weight training. I can honestly
say kicking the junk food habit was not easy, but I persevered and I am so grateful to have
stuck with my plan. Now I am in the process of getting my first book published about my
personal journey, and I competed in my first figure competition in June at the age of 40!
This in itself is so unbelievable because I was always the quintessential weakling. Now I
feel on top of the world and so strong. My family and friends cannot believe the changes
in me and I can hardly believe them myself. The perception of me from others has always
been astounding - everyone thought I was in good shape and even wanted to emulate
me, but what they did not realize was that I was a mess. The saying “you can’t judge a
book by its cover” sure holds true here. Anyway, I just wanted to say hi, share my story,
and let you know I really enjoy your magazine and I always pass it on to the women at my
gym where I train.

on your magazine. The articles are
refreshing and motivating. I shared my issue with my colleagues and fellow fitness
friends and we all want to know where can we buy it here in Canada? The feedback
about your magazine is that it encouraged, motivated, and empowered them.
Sean Liphard did a phenomenal job with the article on back exercises as it was
extremely informative. Eric Beach's shots of Valerie Waugaman were equally
amazing.
If you ever need a fitness model for any of your articles please keep me in mind. It
is a hobby of mine and I would be honored to be part of H2O Magazine.

Thanks so much for your email, Cathy. Nothing makes us more proud than to hear
that we are producing a book that makes readers feel the way you've described.
As for Canada, we're not sure when we can or will get there, but it is in the
plans for "eventually." In the meantime, if you subscribe you can get the magazine
delivered directly to you so you won't miss out on a single issue.

at The
Arnold sports festival in Columbus, Ohio. I'm a newspaper reporter
and I'm always looking for magazines that write about health and fitness and the
well-balanced lifestyle. What a refreshing addition your magazine is! I love your
eclectic mix of stories and the magazine's elegant design. Sean Liphard's vivid
sense-of-place in his depiction of the charms of Hollywood, Florida was superb.
It had me wanting to book a trip there immediately. The Q and A with Valerie
Waugaman was fun, honest and inspiring. Congratulations on a wonderful issue.
I'm subscribing so I won't miss the next one.

I just read the November/December issue and loved it.
I work at the Pumpin' Iron store [in Atlanta] and am also
a personal trainer at Gold's Gym in Roswell, Georgia.
I will let people know about your wonderful magazine.

Thanks, Kelli! Our goal is to make each issue of the magazine
better than the one before it, so it's nice to know we're doing that.
And we certainly appreciate all the word of mouth exposure - We
want everyone to know about H2O!

that I have
picked up H2O Magazine on and off for the past few
years and I absolutely love what you are doing. I find
your publication very educational and yet light and easy
to read at the same time. I am a registered dietician and
a female triathlete as well. I noticed the subscription
card in the last issue and I just sent it in last week. I'm
looking forward to receiving it at my home each time it
comes out!
