Runners And Attendees:
There are always a minimum of 500 runners for each race. Attendees are more difficult to estimate prior to registration. In the past we produced 500 goody bags per race, but this year we will increase this number due to the events that the series are in conjunction with. Runners usually bring anywhere from one person to their entire family with them, so the number of attendees should at least double, if not triple the number of registered runners.
Local Exposure:
We heavily promote each race. Sponsors names and or logos are always mentioned and predominantly displayed. This year plans to be our biggest yet. We offer various levels of sponsorship. Our platinum sponsorship has exclusivity and has already been sold, however we still have Gold and Silver sponsorships available. Please keep in mind that the rates quoted on the following page includes sponsorship for ALL THREE Races.
Promotion Plans for the Race and It’s Sponsors
Before the race begins, we pass out flyers and brochures to runners, running shops, sporting goods stores, natural grocery stores, independently owned retailers, athletic shoe stores, etc. Additionally, we have local radio spots advertising the race and we always advertise in at least 2 issues of H2O Magazine. We also run ads in all the local town newspapers. We hire a local race director that cross promotes with all his other races. So, he does a lot of great things for us like PSAs, and even includes our race brochure in other races’ goody bags.
During the race, the exposure depends on your level of sponsorship. Everyone will see your banner(s), booth, try samples, hear your PSA(s), see your product & literature in goody bags, etc. We make sure that the runners and attendees will never forget your name because our sponsors are what make this event such a success.
After the race, your logo will be seen on all the runners’ t-shirts. The artwork we use is gorgeous, so everyone is always pleasantly surprised at our shirts. We also run a page in H2O Magazine recapping the events.
Additional Details about Each Race Location
- The Charlotte race is done in conjunction with the Annual Spring Festival in the old historic town of Ft. Mill, South Carolina. People come from surrounding cities just to attend this annual festival. Drenched! will kick off the festival which will run through the downtown area. A parade and weekend long festival will follow the race.
- The Dallas race is done in conjunction with The Europa Super Show. Everyone in the fitness & body building industry will be in town for this event, so the turnout should be amazing and we’re expecting some incredible running times. Again, the race will kick off the Super Show and then the runners, attendees and general public will head over to the convention center afterwards. A majority of the fitness industry is either a current or previous advertiser, and or is very familiar with our publication because of our presence at trade shows. So, we expect a lot of support.
- The Atlanta race is done in our hometown, so we personally make sure all the locals know about it. Our staff attends other local races about 3 months beforehand to pass out fliers, registration forms and brochures directly to the runners after they cross the finish line. Atlanta is a big 5k city, so the number of runners is always tremendous.
DRENCHED! is an incredible race series, and we love how shocked our sponsors are at the amount of exposure they receive for their money. This event is just something that we all personally feel passionate about and believe in here at H2O, so we like to make it an amazing experience for everyone involved.
