Did you know that the temperature of the water you drink
has different effects on your health? Studies show that drinking hot,
lukewarm and cold water (at separate times) can do a lot for your body in the areas of
detoxification and metabolism.
Drinking hot water (not too hot) helps flush bile out of the liver, into the digestive
system and out of the body. Drinking lukewarm water helps with appetite suppression
because it takes the brain longer to send the signal to your stomach that it’s feeling
full. Therefore, you actually take in more water before you “think” that you don’t want
anymore, which also increases healthy hydration levels. Drinking cold water, which is
what most of us do to get that cool refreshing feeling, boosts the metabolism for up to
30 minutes and helps with burning extra calories even when we’re not active |
