As the holidays quickly approach, I once again fi nd myself caught completely offguard
and unprepared. And each year, despite vowing to never let it happen again,
it inevitably does. I used to let it stress me out, but now I simply accept it – and
that makes a huge difference.
Yes, it is the season of giving, but who said it had to be in the form of a boxed gift
with a pretty bow on it? In the hustle and bustle of the season, it becomes all too easy
to lose sight of the true spirit and magic of this time of year. For me, it’s a time to refl ect
on the past (the good and not so good), and give thanks for
being blessed with some of the greatest gifts you’ll never fi nd
wrapped under a tree - a loving family, amazing friends, my
health, and the ability to make a living doing what I enjoy. I
also think about what I could have done differently and how I
might change that in the coming year.
My wish for you is that you stop and take a moment to
appreciate what is really important and experience a true
sense of holiday spirit. What are you thankful for?
